Scars are things we all just don't want, mainly because a scar represents some type of trauma experienced in the past. Whether it was from acne, a surgery, or domestic abuse, it can be a tough topic to tackle. We understand that aesthetics is not just about trying to look younger, refreshed and more toned. Our patients come to us for a host of many different reasons, they come to understand our compassion for our craft in helping our patients achieve their aesthetic goals.
We grade scars on a level 1, 2, or 3 which depends on the type of scar and the treatment plan for each specific level. Scars are the most challenging treatments in medical aesthetics because there are many factors at play when revising a scar of any type. It will take time, treatments are developed to break up the scar tissue first and enough to then regenerate the tissue within the scar. Any scar revision treatment will take multiple treatments. While difficult to give an exact number of treatments we develop a plan to keep you on track and pace to allow your body the time it needs for the regeneration phases before retreating.
Level 1 Scar Revision is considered to be the most shallow of scars, typically caused by mild to moderate acne. The treatment plan includes a scar revision with a cannula to break up the scar tissue, microneedling with Rejuvapen and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) Injections to stimulate collagen and cellular regeneration.
Level 2 Scar Revision is a bit more challenging than Level 1 and includes a treatment plan with scar revision with a cannula to break up the scar tissue, Platelet Rich Fibrin Injections to stimulate new collagen and cellular regeneration, and RF Microneedling to penetrate deeper and work at the dermal layer.
Level 3 Scar Revision is the most challenging of all scars and includes a treatment plan with a scar revision with a cannula to break up the scar tissue, Platelet Rich Fibrin Injections to stimulate new collagen and cellular regeneration, RF Microneedling to penetrate deeper and work at the dermal layer, Laser Resurfacing the high points to level the texture of the scar and divots treated with TCA to raise the deepest hollow of the scar.
